Kathy Paskal
Kathy was born in Warrenton, Virginia, on May 2, 1970. She attended Five Forks Regular Baptist Church with her family. At the age of seven, Kathy was led to the Lord by her father after hearing a message on hell that her pastor, Reverend Hoover Heflin preached. Kathy had the privilege of growing up in a home where her parents loved and served God. Her father served as a deacon of the church and her mother as a Sunday School teacher.
Kathy grew up attending public school. She always felt very strongly that the Lord was calling her to be a teacher. After graduating from high school, she attended Tennessee Temple University from 1989-1994, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Christian education.
Kathy met David Paskal at Tennessee Temple University. They were married on May 30, 1992. They have three children: David Paskal, Joshua Paskal, and Sarah Paskal.
Kathy has a variety of work experiences. She helped to start a preschool at a local church in New York. She also opened and operated a daycare out of her home for seven years. She has taught in a Christian preschool and has substituted within the public schools in the districts in which she has lived.
Kathy’s ministry experiences include being a pastor’s wife, teaching ladies Bible studies, and assisting her husband in Jewish missions and evangelism. She has also been a Sunday School teacher, AWANA leader, and faithful soul winner. Her life verse is, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).
Bro. David Paskal
David was born in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in a nonreligious home, his father being Jewish and his mother being Gentile. David trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 19 while serving in the US Navy. After serving, David was called of the Lord for full-time service and went to Bible college to prepare for the ministry. While there, he met his wife, Kathy. They were married May 30, 1992, and have been blessed with three wonderful children: David, Joshua and Sarah.
David graduated from Tennessee Temple University in 1994. He has a bachelor degree in pastoral studies and a minor in Jewish studies. For over 20 years the Paskals have been involved in reaching souls for the glory of God. David’s life verse is Ezekiel 33:7—“So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth and warn them from me.”
David has served in a variety of ministries, including missions, pastor, and Bible conference speaker. He is a gifted teacher and speaks on unique subjects such as Christ in the Passover and other Jewish topics relating to the Christian faith. Additionally, David has hosted television and radio programs such as “The Sh’ma Israel Broadcast” and “The Root of The Christian Faith.”
David’s ministry experience concerning Jewish missions stretches out for more than 15 years, including many of those years in New York City. Currently David and Kathy are missionary appointees with Baptist Mid Missions and are part of the Jewish Outreach Team. They are seeking to raise their missions support to help assist them in taking the gospel to the Jewish people.
